THE SCIENCE OF STRING INSTRUMENTS


In this book, Chapter 7, "Psalteries and Zithers" was written by Andres Peekna (ME'59), together with Thomas D. Rossing. It was based largely on measurements made in Tom Rossing's laboratory (then at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL) during the years 1999-2004.

Brian Rose (A'79) collaborated on a photography project with Ed Fausty (A'79) in 1980 focusing on the Lower East Side, and in 2010 Rose returned to rediscover these places with fresh eyes.

Theo Halo (A '71) shares a rare eyewitness account of the horrors of a little-known, often denied genocide, in which hundreds of thousands of Armenian and Pontic Greek minorities in Turkey were killed during and after World War I. For many years, Susan Litsios, A '57 wanted to publish some of her books in small, sturdy, hardbound editions accessible to every budget. In 2005, she published L’ALPHAbêtière, the beginning of Elstir Editions.
