- I-Beam, founded by Suzan Wines (AR'90) and Azin Valy (AR'90), turns discarded material into transitional structures for people who have lost their homes. The Pallet Houses were featured by Fast Company.
- Bill Morrison's (A'89) scores to silent films are part of the 2012 New Sounds Live Silent Film Series and were featured onWNYC.
- Lola Montes Schnabel (A'08) opened her solo shoe at the Hole Gallery on Bowery, which was covered by the New York Times.
