The Class of 1982 had their 30th reunion on April 27 and 28, 2012. Events included tours of 41 Cooper Square and the Foundation Building on each of the two days, an architecture discussion with professor Rod Knox on the afternoon of April 27, and a luncheon at the Ukrainian Hall on April 28. Professor Hopkins gave a tour of the new building.
Attendees enjoyed seeing both what is new at the Cooper Union, as well as what hasn’t changed. The poster-sized class schedules and the open mailboxes took everyone back to their student days, as did the walk through the library and studios. The class leaders who organized the event were Matt Arnold, Ling-Wei Chang, Aaron Kleinbaum, and Mary Lynch. Prize winners were Paul Korniczky (best memorabilia) and Bruce Tucker (came the farthest distance). Assistance was provided by Xavier Pires and Caitlin Tramel from the Alumni Affairs office.
